it’s been so long since i’ve actually read this book and duology, in fact, seriously and explicitly. it was absolutely amazing to revisit this series and book and world itself because THE CHARACTERS AND QUOTES ARE AMAZING. also, i haven’t yet and may never be able to read the grisha trilogy itself, so i was entirely new to this world of grisha, just so ya’ll know.
Jesper knocking his head against the hull and cast his eyes heavenward.
A convict with a thirst for revenge: Matthias.
it was definitely nerve-wracking to see matthias and nina reunited, if not even breaking him out of HELL FREAKING GATE was scary enough. he was kind of gruff , i guess, if you can even say that, and definitely one of the most sheltered off of the group.
A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager: Jesper.
jesper is honestly my one of my most favorite favorite characters in six of crows. he’s with nina and wylan and OH MY GOD i ship wylan and jesper so much and so passionately like fedex.
A runaway with a privileged past: Wylan.
i didn’t really love love love wylan from the first instance i saw his character but i soon fell in love with his character and dialogue as well like yesss.
A spy known as the Wraith: Inej.
inej is just such a strong and amazing character and although i’ve already read crooked kingdom, i love her so much and she’s amazing.
A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums: Nina.
nina is an amazing and just really realistic character. i love her everything and there’s not much to be said.
A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes: Kaz.
i didn’t really like kaz in the beginning (view spoiler) but i quickly fell in love with him.
leigh bardugo just has an amazing way with characters and couples and dialogue , this duology really mesmerized me into nothing and intangible love of grisha.
